While I was making this card it dawned on me that it is exactly a month until my dogs birthday, and I think this scene depicts how he would like to spend his day.  Spending the day at the beach with one of his kids.  Unfortunately that isn’t going to happen this year, but I still think this card represents his birthday wish!  The funny thing is, I went through a period time where if I tried to make myself an over easy egg, I would break the yolk every time, if I made him one, as a special treat, it would come out perfect.  This card came out rather perfect, I guess because in my head, in a way, I was making it for him?  The design on this card comes from and I am  submitting it to Tiddly Inks Challenge #187…Summer Sun, I am also submitting it to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Nautical/By The Sea, and Tuesday Morning Sketches #361, and I used this sketch:

What an adorable scene you’ve created here! I love how you’ve colored it in those wonderful beach tones. It has color, but it is also soothing. This made me long for the shoreline, so thank you for creating something so lovely! And thank you for sharing it with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

It sure looks like the perfect card for a furry friend! My dog is the opposite and would prefer to be as far away from the water as possible. 😉
Thanks so much for sharing your card with us at the Tiddly Inks Summer challenge! Hugs, Zoe xo
