Being read to as a child was always my favorite. I have tried to make sure as an adult to always read to the kids when asked because it is worth it to them and to me. The design on this card is Vintage Mother Reading from A Day for Daisies. This card is mostly watercolored. I think I have finally found my favorite blend for brown hair color: rusty hinge, scattered straw, and vintage photo. I did my trick of using one color (worn lipstick) on the edge of the mothers dress and then blending it with picket fence to get my nice ochre coloring. I finished the card by adding a couple of pink enamel glitter drops for accent. I am submitting this card to Tuesday Morning Sketches #400 and to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.
