Ok, I am going to vent a little. I love my Cricut and use it every day and most of the things about it I love but there are a few things that irritate me. This card highlighted one of those things. See those heart banners? Those were a pain to cut correctly because of what I see as a flaw in the Cricut programing. At some point, I bought a pad of Martha Stewart paper that measures 6.75x4.75. The problem comes in that on the Cricut it offers cutting for 4x6 or 6x6 and sometimes that just isn’t the measurements that you are working with, it also has a tendency to waste paper if you don’t watch it and occasionally set it to the wrong size of paper and realign the cut. When I cut envelope liners it only wants to cut two per page when it can cut four if I just set it to a larger sheet size and reset the spacing. Feh! Alright, soapbox stashed away again. I used the Teachers Count stamp set from Verve Stamps for the design on this card. I stamped it using my mini Misti in order to get my placement just right. After I had stamped my sentiments and my apple I went back and added my stem and leaf and colored in my heart using markers. I added two drops of gold glitter enamel and allowed it to dry. I am submitting this card to Mojo Monday 496.
