Truthfully I did not like this card when I first finished this card I didn’t really like it, and then I looked at it again later and realized that what I didn’t like actually made it kind of cool. See, I was playing around with a technique and wasn’t sure that I got it quite right, and that frustrated me. The main element on this card is My Favorite Things BIG THANKS Die-Namics. I cut it out and then I used my blending tools with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink (which I have fallen in love with the oxide inks and can’t wait for mini’s so I bought two more colors last night) to do an initial coloring of the letters, I then misted them and reinked them. At this point, I sprinkled sparkle embossing powder on them and then used my heat gun to melt it. As you can see the embossing powder was a bit hit or miss in some spots, which is what I didn’t like at first but eventually thought was really neat. I finished by attaching all of my cut pieces to the front of my card. I am submitting this card to My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge – Sketch 337 and to Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Touchy Feely.

This is the sketch I used on this project:
