Cupcake day

Yumm, cupcakes!  I like calling saying happy cake day instead of happy birthday, I have a friend who always makes a point of cakes on birthday and I think that is a wonderful thing to focus on.  The cupcake on this card is Cupcake Simple Design from Drawn With Character.  I watercolored my cupcake using a mix of picket fence and brushed corduroy, my frosting is worn lipstick (I love the look the oxide gives it) with gathered twigs sprinkles, my wrapper is bundled sage with broken china polka dots, my ribbon is squeezed lemonade to match my ribbon on the top.  I used the fork method (to get a small bow I use a standard kitchen fork) to tie my bow out of 1/8 inch satin rribbon. I finished by attaching everything to the front of my card.  This card was made for Sketch Saturday Sketch #471
