Singing snow family

This is one of the saddest posts I have written.  This is my last card as the July Guest Designer at Sketch Saturday.  I have truly loved this experience!  I think I may have driven my husband a little bit crazy talking about it, but he is a good sport and been nothing but supportive.  I started out doing my first four cards as soon as possible, but this card I keep putting off because I knew that it would mean my time doing this would be over.  I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to do this and can’t wait to have another chance someday to hopefully be another guest designer or be on a design team.  Even if this is the last card made I still have lots of wonderful cards to get to go look at on all the wonderful blogs of the submissions on this challenge, and that has also been one of the great things I have tried really hard to visit and comment on all of the card submissions this month and it is amazing how many great things I have seen doing just that!

The design on this card is Caroling Snowman by Paper Nest Dolls I do not know where the sentiment came from.  I printed (I invested in a laser printer that has made a huge difference) my image and then watercolored it.  The reds are festive berries, the greens are mowed lawn, the blues are salty ocean, the black is black soot, the noses are carved pumpkin, and the music book is wild honey.  After I had finished with the painting the colors I mixed picket fence with white shimmer and painted my snowflakes and my snowmen to give them a little bit of sparkle like snow.  I affixed my paper pieces to the front of my card and then I used a little bit of glue to adhere my snowflake sequins.

This is the sketch I used on this project:

These are the tools I used on this project:
