It can be a bit strange to me how inspiration works on a card.  I was struggling with where to go with this week’s sketch.  I always have ideas, but none of them seemed good so I just waited (which is what gets me into trouble some weeks.)  Then another challenge had a bit of a nudge in the right direction, and I noticed a sticker with the perfect sentiment but it wouldn’t fit on the card.  Next thing I knew I had the card that I had wanted to make all along!

I used Choose Joy from Simon Says Stamps for the main design on this card.  I started by cutting all of my different paper pieces out, and printing and cutting my square with my sentiment on it. I then stamped my boots on there circle and watercolored them using the colors listed below in the tools section.  I then affixed everything to the front of my card.

Oh, I love those pretty rain boots! My own are leopard print, but I digress. The row of tags makes a great background….looks like a picket fence behind those adorable boots. Great job with the sketch and thanks for joining us at AHSC!
