Colorful crayons

If you look at the tools I used on this card you might be a bit confused.  One of the things listed is little pom poms.  See, I saw a polka dotted background that I was trying to emulate and I was having problems making it work.  The blending tools make to big of dots and I don’t have a stencil (I could have made one I guess) so I was looking around for something that I could use to make the right size dots.  Then I saw the stash of pom poms from Easter.

I used Teacher’s Pet from SugarPea Designs for the main design on this card.  I started by making the polka dotted background, I cut my rectangle and then dipped pom poms in the inks and daubed them on the cardstock.  I then watercolored the main background using the same color pallet.  I stamped and cut out the crayon box and watercolored it, and cut out the bottom banner and stamped it.  I cut out the piece of blue-green paper as well.  I then attached everything to the front of the card.

Well what a clever idea to use pom-poms to create this awesome background! This is a very cute card, and the polkadots work so well with the crayons. I’m happy you were inspired to play along with us at SPD! Thank you for joining us this month.
