Wedding cards are something that I haven’t been making to many of. I really think that they need to be bigger than my standard cards and I haven’t been able to make the ‘investment’ in being able to do them as well. I think I just need to figure out how to make that happen or just make what I have work. I especially like that this card could also be used as an anniversary card.
We need this sprite to come visit our house! Now that I am back to drinking coffee (black, cold brew seems to be the answer) we both drink a lot of it, and it would be handy to have a helpful sprite to make it! Honestly, I would love to have most of the sprites visit. I just really love them all and have a horrible time choosing one!
For someone who doesn’t wear any makeup at this point in my life, I still really love applying it. I realized that I get to do that a bit with my cards sometimes. I just love all of the different things that making cards let me do that I don’t get to do in other parts of my life.
When I saw this image I knew that it would go perfectly with the paper I used for the background and I kind of fell in love. I then had to wait for the right sketch to show everything off. It is always so fun when everything comes together!
While making these I was trying to figure out what to put on the tag with the puppy and I couldn’t think of anything. Then I remembered last year while I was trying to wrap presents my ‘helper’ puppy was busy checking in each bag and almost unwrapped one of his kids presents before I caught him, and all of a sudden the perfect thing came to me. No peeking for the recipient or the pup!
This little sprite reminds me of everything that I loved about Christmas time over at my Mother in laws house when she was still with us. From decorating the tree and then enjoying a cup of cocoa, to the kids putting on shows on Christmas eve. Even in adding the metal piece behind reminds me of the tree topper that was purchased by my parent-in-laws for their first Christmas at a local five and dime and amazingly still rotates today.
