Patience is a gift that I tend to be extremely thankful for. I lose it, just like everyone else, but I tend to hold out a lot longer before I do. I have no idea how I have the patience I do, I think reading has a lot to do with it. I definitely have more in some situations than others. This card strangely was a bit of a test trying to figure out how to make the D shape, but in the end, I think I did ok. There may have been several other things at the time trying them also, but that is a different story…

Yay! Another book I have read! This is actually a favorite of mine. I love many of Maurice Sendak’s books. Children’s literature is probably always going to be one of my favorite subjects. I was explaining to my nephew that one of the reasons I love going to the children’s section of the library is that it feels like visiting so many old friends.

Wedding cards are something that I haven’t been making to many of. I really think that they need to be bigger than my standard cards and I haven’t been able to make the ‘investment’ in being able to do them as well. I think I just need to figure out how to make that happen or just make what I have work. I especially like that this card could also be used as an anniversary card.

This sketch kept calling to me yesterday. I was frustrated that I couldn’t get something on the web to work and so I was just going to read, but I just kept having ideas about how to use this sketch. The funny thing is that all of my ideas were thrown out when I started actually making the card, and as soon as I finished it the web thing worked, and I normally have a problem with the three boxes not getting the right measurements so they don’t have a nice space between them. I did manage to read a bit also!
