This is one of those moments that I could keep my mouth shut, but I am just not that person. I got super excited because all of a sudden I realized that I had the dies to cut out the snow drifts for this card. I had totally forgotten what these dies did! Probably shouldn’t admit that, but, eh, that’s just how I am. Now if I only remember when I need to make waves of water…
While working on my angel I was a bit frustrated that I didn’t have gold for the halo, but I did have copper. I then read the name of the copper and realized it was one of those moments that I talk about that the universe is saying something if I just listen. The copper color is called ‘CELESTIAL COPPER’, which I think makes it the correct color for the job.
This card took a little bit of trial and error to get right but I think it was so worth it! Sometimes I have an idea that something can work I just am not exactly sure how to go about making it happen, and this was one of those times. I am glad that I didn’t get frustrated the first time it failed but realized what went wrong and how to fix it.
I have officially hit my heavy birthday time of the year. I always kind of wish it wasn’t at the same time that I was trying to get all of my Christmas stuff done, but since my birthday is at this time of year I don’t complain too much. This year I have at least tried to make some cards ahead of time so that I am not quite so stressed over the next couple of weeks.
This set of stamps is really exciting to me. I have a huge personal belief that kindness needs to be shown more. It doesn’t cost anything and generally makes everyone feel better.
Oh my, the birthday rush in coming soon! I was printing out my November calendar and realized that I had already flubbed getting some anniversary cards in the mail soon enough. There are ten birthdays this month alone and it only gets crazier next month.
