In the past, I have tried to add a bit of sparkle to die cuts with embossing powder and it has never quite worked the way I hoped it would. Then I made a bit of a mess trying to use a product for the first time and went to YouTube to figure out what I should have done. In the video was a bit about using it with embossing powder on die cuts, and Viola! This is what I have been trying to do. What a great effect.
“Here be dragons” that is why you always have to be careful when you leave your front door. You never know what you are going to run into. I kind of like the idea that on your birthday it would allow you to see the magical creatures of the world. Especially if you realized that they were around you every other day as well just going about there lives and coexisting and not being a threat. I am sure that it would go bad, but I like to think it could be a special kind of treat.
The name for this card is supposed to be a play on a partridge in a pear tree. It was either that or something about the meowiest of ornaments. Sometimes I have problems naming things. I had a lot of pets with either bad names or no names, in fact, my first doll was called naked baby.
For some reason I think I associate balloons with the fourth of July. I don’t really know why. They just seem to go together in my mind. I understand fireworks or hot dogs, or parades, or any number of other things really. Probably just something that I connect for some reason or another.
We have only gotten to go swimming once this summer so far, but there is differently more to come. Swimming is one of my favorite things to do. The hardest part now is to remember to get out of the pool when I still have enough energy to make it back to the car. Especially since I don’t ever want to get out.
Ok, I had a hard time trying to get the bandage color just right on this card. It just a weird thing to think about. I realized that most of the bandages I have seen lately all have characters on them, or are just white gauze. I think it turned out ok, but I felt like I was guessing at the color.
