Letting the colors do what they want. It is fun to watch them do their thing. I think sometimes it can be hard to just let go and let whatever happens happen, but that is truly the beauty sometimes. I love this technique because it makes me remember to let go.
In our house we are known to say ‘more to do than can ever be done’. It tends to sum up that feeling of knowing that all of the needs to-dos, and wants to-dos, feel just overwhelming sometimes. When I start to feel this way I actually pull on something that I learned working in kitchens, just focus on the ticket in front of you, it doesn’t matter if you only have one person to serve or an entire houseful all you can do when you are cooking is deal with that one thing in front of you to the best of your ability and all of a sudden you find you have cleared everything.
Loving having flower stamps to play with right now. I don’t know why I didn’t get more in the past. I think I just always have money at holiday time and so I focus on those stamps and this was the first time I was able to do this. It just reminds me to make sure to remember off times as well.
Loving getting to play with new stamps! This card just really came together while I was playing around with the stamps. I love how that can happen. I wanted to see if this would work, and it did, so then I should try this, and that worked too, and they look so nice together, and all of a sudden I realize that I have made a really pretty card.
One of my all-time favorite movies! I have not read the book though. I know, that seems crazy for me, but there is a reason! Spoilers ahead so be careful in continuing to read. My favorite character is shown on this card, and in the movie, he has a fairly happy ending but not in the book. I was warned about this and I am actually just Ok with keeping it as a movie I love. I mean Audrey Hepburn …swoon!
This book is one I haven’t actually read. I do however have it on my to check out list right now since it also works for the reading challenge that I am working on right now. I tried to focus on the cover for the inspiration for this card. I actually made the card twice since I didn’t like how the white turned out on the first card and had to go buy a new white stamp pad.
