These little monsters make me smile! I think they are just so cute. I cut out the diploma for the corner and the bow that was part of the cut didn’t make it, so I figured this was a good way to add one back in that fit nicely with the sketch I used.
Ants agh! I have been battling them this morning. I am happy it has finally started to warm up, but I am less than happy that that means the ants have returned. They seem to especially like my desk for some reason. Normally I have a desk spider that helps keep them in check, but right now she doesn’t seem to be doing her job. Now that I think about it I haven’t seen her in a couple of days.
Well, I seem to be making a lot of butterfly cards right now. I guess I am just in a butterfly kind of mood? I have been wanting to try the technique I used on this card for awhile and I keep just not doing it. Well, today was the day (thanks to a bit of a nudge from my nephew) and I love how it turned out, but I have a couple of things still to work on with it.
The sentiment on this card is something that I think is actually pretty true! Not that I don’t think that it’s a cure-all or the only medicine one should use, I do think it is one of the best. If I didn’t have a sense of humor, especially about my disease, I would have lost it a long time ago.
Sometimes I actually amaze myself at my failure to notice things. I have loved this digi stamp company for quite awhile, but I kinda keep forgetting about them, which is one of the reasons I have been working so hard on organizing and cataloging everything. I just revisited their Facebook page as part of my due diligence and was shocked to find out that they have an (actually two) challenge that I have been missing! Well, now I know and I can try and start participating.
Reading through some of my favorite blogs on Monday I saw a reference to a new challenge that honestly made me kind of giddy. I would imagine most people who know me know that I have a huge weakness for books and reading and this challenge marries that with my obsession with making cards. So when I heard about a library challenge that uses books for inspiration I have to join in! I have been super excited to make this card and get it posted.
