When a friend of mine asked me if I could make her birthday invites I was excited at getting to do just that. She loves stripes so I thought this sketch would be a perfect base, and I wanted a fun fairy with striped socks to make it the perfect card for her (and this one with the cupcake makes it perfect for a birthday invite). The main image is the first one I made, but it needed some tweaks and she wanted 12 cards so the second image is of all of the cards together. Each Fairy has her own coloring and personality, and I love that!

It’s so punny! I just love it! I can’t resist a good pun. They just make me happy. I can’t help it, I just do. read more
Color challenges are probably the most daunting for me. I think it has to do with the fact that I already know that there is such a big variance in how color can be perceived. Computer monitors are not all set the same, my color vision is ok but always suspect, even when I buy packages of cardstock I notice the same color will vary slightly from one pack to the next sometimes, and honestly not everyone agrees on what color mauve is anyway. read more
This is an unbirthday card. You see awhile back a friend of mine had a birthday and I was talking about how I had another card I really wanted to make her at that time and I would just have to make it as an unbirthday card, this is that card. read more
