Cards made for Tuesday Throwdown

Have I told you that I bought a new set of colored pencils? I thought I really needed to expand the color selection that was open to me and so I made the plunge. I am now using Prismacolor watercolor colored pencils and I am liking them quite a bit. I am not exactly sure how to share what colors I am using on each project, but I am sure that with my husbands help we will come up with a good solution.

This seems like an awesome way to spend a day or more at the beach. I could just imagine how peaceful it could be, even with the seagull on top. Then again I suffer from wanderlust so I would probably want to go everywhere if I had something like that. I think the hardest thing is that they tend to not be the most accessible. Ah, that is why I make cards and dream.

Letting the colors do what they want. It is fun to watch them do their thing. I think sometimes it can be hard to just let go and let whatever happens happen, but that is truly the beauty sometimes. I love this technique because it makes me remember to let go.

Although I love playing with new products I seem to need to remember to watch some videos first. I keep ruining things accidentally by not doing that. I didn’t know that the distress spray was supposed to be washed off the stencil right away, and not to spray it on my crafting matt. Oh well, live and learn, I need a new matt anyway since I used spray glue on it a while ago…

Forever in my heart

Forever in my heart

This card has been bumping around in my head for the last couple of days and I needed to get it out. It has to do with several different challenges, it merges two different sketches in a way and looking through stamps but mostly the topic of the one that I am submitting it to. ‘You’re on my mind’ is the topic and this might seem an odd choice for that but I keep thinking of something I heard a while ago that those who pass on find heaven in the minds and hearts and happy stories of those they left. Which definitely fits the pets we have had, and lately, they seem to be coming up a lot.
