I am sure that everyone in the house has enjoyed me singing ‘Christmas Gecko’ today while making this card. I have been so excited to make this card! I don’t know why it makes me so happy to put a Santa hat on the gecko, but it does.
For some reason, I am just really bad at doing this challenge. I don’t really know why. I think it has to do with the best of intentions just not being good enough some times. I have a new system that will hopefully help keep things from falling through the cracks quite so much!! read more
“Why are you making a reindeer card in the middle of summer?” asks my sweet nephew today when he peaked at this card. The best part of that was he was reminding him that he was the one who picked out this stamp set a couple of weeks ago. I guess I will be using it again at Christmas… read more
This is my first shaker card in awhile. I had a way of making them but didn’t love it. I was watching a video about making them and the person used a fuse tool, and I thought how cool! So, I headed to the craft store and found one on sale and I had a coupon that could be used even for sale items. Now I just have to keep working on them until I get better at it. read more
I just couldn’t resist getting this stamp when I saw it. My love of the library is one of the cornerstones of who I am. Talking to one of my nephews the realization that I failed to become a librarian made him, and me, sad that I hadn’t fulfilled something in my life that I should have. When you are suited for something and it is a dream of yours but it remains out of reach, that is just how life works sometimes. It’s ok. I have other forms of fulfillment, and I can still go to the library any time I want.
I now have gecko stamps!! I can make cards with geckos on them! This excites me a lot if you couldn’t tell. Honestly the first thing I did was make my nephew a bookmark with the stamp. He has been helping me figure out what this card and the next one should look like, especially since it is his gecko that lives at our house.
