In order to make sure that everything is going to fit correctly on my cards I generally make a mockup in my design space program that goes with my Cricut. I didn’t do that this time, I don’t know why I just didn’t. You can see what happens when I don’t, I lost part of my design due to overcrowding! Lesson learned!
OK, I think I finally figured out the secret to the heart wreath stamp. Just use one color. Well, I am sure that I could go in with a fine tip pen and add a bit of more color at this point if I really felt the need, but I am thinking my problem with the stamp is that I keep trying to make it to complex and need to just keep it simple. You know, I just don’t know that I can do this stamp justice. I have tried using it several different ways now, and I have really only been truly happy with it once. It just always looks better in my head than it does on paper. Well, I guess I just stick to that one way from now on. I like how it works on the card, I just still think I am not making this stamp look nearly as good as it should, does that make sense? read more
This is actually a card for a very important couple in my life who I won’t say too much about so not to completely spoil any ‘surprise’, but when I was trying to do a rough guesstimate of how many years I realized I could at least start with how old I am, and that alone is saying something. read more
It dawned on me that it is kind of apropos the first card I made was an anniversary card for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law so every year it marks my card making anniversary by making their anniversary card, which in a way has become my anniversary card in a way also. I have been officially making cards for two years now. read more
