One last Halloween card. Although everything has been mailed I realized I didn’t really have anything made for the neighbors. This was a good opportunity to remedy that. It isn’t exactly twisting my arm to get me to anything Halloween in nature, it is just always nice to have a reason.
Every holiday I make my nieces and nephews some kind of candy based paper craft. Halloween always has full size Hershey bars. When we were kids the candy scare was a big thing, my grandfather figured that if he gave out full sized Hershey bars they would be a safe choice. It just doesn’t feel like Halloween to me now with out Hershey bars. We have given them out a couple of years even.
I honestly think this guy is a bit more of a silly vampire than a spooky vampire, but what are you going to do? He probably is trying his best to be spooky!
What a cute little monster! I know, I called him Frankie and he isn’t, he is the monster. I figure it comes down to the fact that it’s a kids costume and that gives me a little wiggle room on being literally accurate. Hey, I can’t always be perfect. Lol.
Someone got new stamps today! I just had to put them to work. I love how understated the spookiness of this card is. There is just enough here and there to make it a true Halloween card. Isn’t that what makes Hitchcock movies great? They don’t come right out and scare the beejebus out of you, but you definitely end up there. I guess in a way this is my second nod to him this year.
