Oh my, the birthday rush in coming soon! I was printing out my November calendar and realized that I had already flubbed getting some anniversary cards in the mail soon enough. There are ten birthdays this month alone and it only gets crazier next month.
There was recently extremely sad news about the amazing lady who was the artist behind the image on this card (and the first digital stamp I ever used on a card.). People seem to just keep disappearing. I purchased this image awhile back and every time I would see it I would remember I really wanted to make this card and then put it off, well the time has come! read more
When I saw that the theme for one of the challenges that I am submitting this card to was love I realized that it was a good time to utilize some of the paper that I bought for making an anniversary card for an upcoming anniversary. I am not sure that this is going to be ‘the’ anniversary card, but I do really love it. read more
I think this card turned out to be really pretty. I don’t think the punches that I did show up very well, but that is ok. The design on this card is Warbler and Magnolias. When I was water coloring the magnolias I used some victorian velvet to start with a strong base color and then I mix in a bit of picket fences and then finish coloring out the petals. It gives it a nice orchre effect.
I love how springy this Thank you card turned out! I used COTTAGE GARDEN stamps from Newtons Nook for the stamps on this card.
