Oh Fall! Hurry up and get here! If it were up to me it would be fall all year long. I just don’t get along with the other seasons, as I like to call them freezing to death, allergies, and heat stroke. read more
When I got done watercoloring the frosting on the cupcakes I realized that there was a little bit of glitter, yet I hadn’t added any glitter. Then I realized that the last thing I painted was a unicorn horn with copper glitter paint and apparently I didn’t get all of the glitter washed out. I guess these birds would like some candy. Honestly, I couldn’t think of anything to put on their little signs, and then I thought well everyone likes Easter candy. Well, at least they are cute. Which is what we say about the kids when they do the exact same thing. Huh, maybe that’s where the idea came from…
I really fell in love with this image when I first saw it. I think that is definitely a big part of the fun I have in making cards. There are just so many fun images to get to work with. It is really great that there are so many talented artist out there that allow their work to be utilized! Honestly I am rubbish at drawing anything more than a stick figure. Thank you to all of the wonderful people that make digital stamps and stamps that I and others can utilize to make cards and such!
I really like snowmen. Sometimes I find that making cards shows me things about myself that I either already knew (I really like blue and polka dots) or things that kind of surprise me (pink is actually not so bad?). My cards tend to reflect me whether I try to or not. I try to utilize a variety of patterns. colors, themes, etc. especially when I am making a card for someone who’s taste are different then mine, but I still know that since I am the one buying the stamps, papers, inks, etc. my taste will end up being in the mix. So, I guess there are going to be several snowmen cards.
