One of the things that I don’t do all of that often, but have been trying to do more of, is mix stamp sets. It’s kind of silly, I just have this fear that things aren’t going to go together if I mix them up. I love this card! I keep imagining a quaint little coffee shop with this being the scene outside in the morning. What a great place to visit, especially if it were your birthday! I have to admit that I borrowed a technique for the balloons from a recent blog hop and I can’t remember who to credit with the amazing idea, but they are just cut out of card stock and then covered in Ranger Glossy Accents which gives them that balloon-like quality.
I love the sketch for this weeks challenge! I made both a puppy and a kitty version of this card. I couldn’t just choose one. The funny thing is the idea for this card is what got me out of bed this morning. The only reason I think that is funny is because with the time change I could have easily stayed in bed a lot longer. I just really wanted to get out and get started on making this card.
