Right now thinking about snow is rather pleasant. It is stupid hot here right now. I kind of look like the poor reindeer on this card. Then again I kind of look like him right before Christmas also. I really like the reindeer on this card!
The name for this card is supposed to be a play on a partridge in a pear tree. It was either that or something about the meowiest of ornaments. Sometimes I have problems naming things. I had a lot of pets with either bad names or no names, in fact, my first doll was called naked baby.
What a sweet little trio! I am not a fan of rodents in general, but they are awfully cute when drawn. I particularly like this group since they seem to be enjoying themselves so much. Oh, and one of them has a muff, which I think is just so cute.
When I saw that part of the Christmas challenge this month was hat I knew this Santa was the guy for the job. I think a big part of the reason I fell in love with him was the amazing hat that he is wearing. The thing is that while I was making this card I realize that he looks a bit like a wizard as well. Now I have other ideas of how he might get used…
Many times I fall asleep thinking of card designs and wondering if certain things can work or not. This card is one of those wondering if something could work or not, and it did work! I used a stencil to emboss my background. Using the embossing mat with my Cuttlebug I was able to use a stencil to emboss instead of an embossing folder, this is so cool! My stencil love just grew.
