Making myself feel really brilliant today, while I was working on figuring out the layout of this sketch and trying to get the measurements correct for cutting, all of a sudden I realized that the correct measurements are actually written on the sketch. I sware I spend so much time looking at the shapes on a sketch that I just didn’t notice that there were numbers, Well that made things easier. Geezes, Gina!
Made the card yesterday and was going to post it, but instead of doing our normal morning swim that we have been doing this week my nephew and I went last night and it just didn’t get done. By the time this morning came I realized I just didn’t like what I had made and wanted to remake it, so I did, and thankfully I have just enough time to still submit it to the summer coffee lovers blog hop (I hope!). read more
Last year I didn’t get the chance to make Independence day cards. We were taking care of three of our nephews and that was taking up the majority of my attention, this year I am starting before school is out (just barely) and we are not doing as much child care. read more
I love this card! I keep imagining a quaint little coffee shop with this being the scene outside in the morning. What a great place to visit, especially if it were your birthday! I have to admit that I borrowed a technique for the balloons from a recent blog hop and I can’t remember who to credit with the amazing idea, but they are just cut out of card stock and then covered in Ranger Glossy Accents which gives them that balloon-like quality.
I miss coffee 🙁 I have started to be able to drink cocoa though and it is making me happy. My husband just surprised me with a new teapot the other day and it reminded me that I need to work on finding a tea that I can drink, I think it is mostly that I need to stick with herbal.
