This was a great chance to use my birthday stamp! If you are wondering why the stamp on this card isn’t listed in the tools section on my blog, it is because it is a super special stamp. I just realized why what I thought didn’t work right yesterday actually did, I just didn’t realize it was. That is what happens when I take a bit of a break I guess.
When our pup turned one we had a birthday party for him. Honestly, it was more for the kids than anything else. I do try and spoil him a bit on his ‘special day’. Our first pup was a rescue dog and we had no idea when his birthday was, so we celebrated the day he joined our family as “Calvin Dog Day” He had a weakness for strawberry ice cream so he always got some on that day. (There was a year he was the only one to get any of the strawberries my grandfather grew in his garden)
Yumm, cupcakes! I like calling saying happy cake day instead of happy birthday, I have a friend who always makes a point of cakes on birthday and I think that is a wonderful thing to focus on. read more

There is just something about making Valentines that makes me feel like a kid. Thinking back to the days when I would decorate a shoe box with construction paper and hope that it would get filled with beautiful cards from my classmates. There are definitely things I miss about being a kid, on the other hand there is plenty I am extremely thankful for being an adult about, and I still make Valentines.
