There is just something about making Valentines that makes me feel like a kid. Thinking back to the days when I would decorate a shoe box with construction paper and hope that it would get filled with beautiful cards from my classmates. There are definitely things I miss about being a kid, on the other hand there is plenty I am extremely thankful for being an adult about, and I still make Valentines.
I have been racking my brain to come up with an ideal for a winter birthday card. The problem comes with having a winter birthday and not liking most of the things that come with it. Having been snowed in way to many times, and actually currently as well, I wanted to stay away from making it just about snow. So, I went with a little snow, because of well a penguin. Penguins appreciate snow on their birthday!
I keep strangely being drawn to these colors for some odd reason, I tend to be much more of a neutral color palette person. This being a celebratory birthday card, I think the bright colors are a good match though.
