When I saw that the inspiration for one of the challenges was coffee and a book I had a hard time choosing one idea, so I will be submitting to this challenge more than once. This is just the first thing that worked with the other challenges that I was working on. I think the only thing that could have made this inspiration more of a challenge for me to narrow down what to do is if you added a pet to the equation.
When a friend of mine asked me if I could make her birthday invites I was excited at getting to do just that. She loves stripes so I thought this sketch would be a perfect base, and I wanted a fun fairy with striped socks to make it the perfect card for her (and this one with the cupcake makes it perfect for a birthday invite). The main image is the first one I made, but it needed some tweaks and she wanted 12 cards so the second image is of all of the cards together. Each Fairy has her own coloring and personality, and I love that!
There are a couple of categories that I am always looking for stamps in, and get well/feel better is one of them. When I saw this stamp I fell in love! It is the perfect level of corny to appeal to me while being pretty at the same time. I wish I had left the ladybugs face white, I hate that I realized that a bit too late though.
I could use a hot drink right now. It is really cold here right now! Not getting snow cold, so I shouldn’t complain. Yeah, I am still going to complain. I have hit a point in life where I do not like it to be very cold.
This little sprite reminds me of everything that I loved about Christmas time over at my Mother in laws house when she was still with us. From decorating the tree and then enjoying a cup of cocoa, to the kids putting on shows on Christmas eve. Even in adding the metal piece behind reminds me of the tree topper that was purchased by my parent-in-laws for their first Christmas at a local five and dime and amazingly still rotates today.
