This is the card that I made to thank those who gave our dog Christmas presents. I am a big believer in writing thank you cards, and that goes for my pet as well. I haven’t always gotten them out as often as I might have liked to, but I definitely try. There was the year that I bought a box of fun thank you cards to send and accidentally thought they were random car garbage when cleaning after the trip I got them in and threw them away, that year no one got thank you cards 🙁
While making these I was trying to figure out what to put on the tag with the puppy and I couldn’t think of anything. Then I remembered last year while I was trying to wrap presents my ‘helper’ puppy was busy checking in each bag and almost unwrapped one of his kids presents before I caught him, and all of a sudden the perfect thing came to me. No peeking for the recipient or the pup!
I have officially hit my heavy birthday time of the year. I always kind of wish it wasn’t at the same time that I was trying to get all of my Christmas stuff done, but since my birthday is at this time of year I don’t complain too much. This year I have at least tried to make some cards ahead of time so that I am not quite so stressed over the next couple of weeks.
After yesterdays search for a sorry stamp and not being able to find one, I found this one. It wouldn’t have worked for that card, but I do have some sorry stamps. This is probably where I need to figure out some way to do some kind of inventory of my stamps so I actually know what I have.
One of the things that I don’t do all of that often, but have been trying to do more of, is mix stamp sets. It’s kind of silly, I just have this fear that things aren’t going to go together if I mix them up. I am pretty sure it stems from childhood and a whole Garanimals issue (why couldn’t the giraffe and the hippo just coexist). read more
