This card was not made in my normal method. I normally work from a sketch, and then go into my computer and work with my Cricut to get all of my cuts ready, I choose my papers and stamps and whatnot and measure and make sure everything is going to go together just right, and then I work on assembling my card.
It is spring break this week around here. It is making things a bit off the normal routine which means I feel a bit extra scattered right now. It just means that some things are getting done and some things aren’t, which is ok because it also means that the things that are getting done are just a little bit more important.
There are at least three versions of this card in my recycling bin right now. I just couldn’t get things to work the way I wanted them to. I am not sure that I am completely satisfied with the way this version looks, but there is definitely a point where I am pretty sure I am just being overly picky. Sometimes I suspect that the act of scraping a project in and of itself is part of the art.
In order to get the embellishment mousse colors where I wanted them on this card, I finger painted with them. That was actually really fun. I don’t think as adults we take the time to finger paint nearly enough. Granted, it was messy, and I had paint all over the place, but it was worth it.
