I love the pout on her face. I think it goes well with what I think of as one of the wonderful things about autumn. Somedays it is warm and sunny, some cold and rainy, some all of the above. Which means that there are days perfect for going and playing at the pumpkin patch, or splashing in puddles, or staying home and curling up and reading.
Isn’t she cute? I just love this little sprite. The quote makes me unbelievably happy as well. “Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower” -swoon That is exactly how I feel. This card came together so well that it exceeded my expectations completely! Even when I was playing around making the background paper my husband peeked at it and said “That’s fall”, I knew I had it right at that point.
When a friend of mine asked me if I could make her birthday invites I was excited at getting to do just that. She loves stripes so I thought this sketch would be a perfect base, and I wanted a fun fairy with striped socks to make it the perfect card for her (and this one with the cupcake makes it perfect for a birthday invite). The main image is the first one I made, but it needed some tweaks and she wanted 12 cards so the second image is of all of the cards together. Each Fairy has her own coloring and personality, and I love that!
There are holes in my memory because of the MS. It makes it a challenge when I make birthday cards for certain people because I can sometimes only remember one thing about them if that. Then again sometimes that makes it a bit easier because there are other people it feels that I could make a hundred cards for because I think of all sorts of things about them when it is time to make them a birthday card.
I was supposed to post this card yesterday in honor of my eldest niece turning 17. You want to know what, this auntie was doing a bit of pouting instead. Don’t get me wrong, she has grown into an amazing woman. One that I am super proud to know and love and spend time with and I can’t say enough wonderful things about… However, she will always be my little Tinkerbell, my princess, the baby that I waited in a parking lot to meet, the little girl that played in my skirts, and I would buy Hot Cocoa bubble bath for so she would take a bath. read more
