The sentiment on this card is something that I think is actually pretty true! Not that I don’t think that it’s a cure-all or the only medicine one should use, I do think it is one of the best. If I didn’t have a sense of humor, especially about my disease, I would have lost it a long time ago.
If you look at the tools I used on this card you might be a bit confused. One of the things listed is little pom poms. See, I saw a polka dotted background that I was trying to emulate and I was having problems making it work. The blending tools make to big of dots and I don’t have a stencil (I could have made one I guess) so I was looking around for something that I could use to make the right size dots. Then I saw the stash of pom poms from Easter.
When our pup turned one we had a birthday party for him. Honestly, it was more for the kids than anything else. I do try and spoil him a bit on his ‘special day’. Our first pup was a rescue dog and we had no idea when his birthday was, so we celebrated the day he joined our family as “Calvin Dog Day” He had a weakness for strawberry ice cream so he always got some on that day. (There was a year he was the only one to get any of the strawberries my grandfather grew in his garden)
Spring cleaning has hit our house this week, and I have been trying to sneak in a bit of time to make cards when I can. We normally do a big clean in fall instead of spring, but this year things are just working out this way.
Easter is coming so quickly! It always sneaks up on me since it moves around every year. I like it a bit better when it is in April, but the 1st seems a bit like it’s only technically in April this year.
