This card took a little bit of trial and error to get right but I think it was so worth it! Sometimes I have an idea that something can work I just am not exactly sure how to go about making it happen, and this was one of those times. I am glad that I didn’t get frustrated the first time it failed but realized what went wrong and how to fix it.
This just needed to be a bit silly to me. I have sent out all of my official Christmas cards, but I still have some that I want to make. I was going to take a break from making cards and get some other much needed stuff done, but that doesn’t seem like much fun, so I am planning on just making a couple of cards that I really want to and still trying to get the other stuff done. We will see what actually happens…
Santa’s beard is white again. I swear there is just no telling what works best with this guy. I think it just has to come down to the individual Santa sometimes. Maybe it has to do with the fact that these are really just all helpers and no one really knows what the actual Santa looks like so it’s just guess work at best anyway. Feh!
I have settled on liking Santa better with grey hair. It makes the white trim on his hat stand out better. I have also figured out that I can watercolor with the Delicata ink, which works perfect for his belt buckle. Figuring out how to make Santa just perfect is a bit more difficult than I might have imagined.
