Batz for Halloween

Batz for Halloween

Bats are really cool. A friend of mine nursed one back to health that flew into her apartment and was injured. When my nephew was young he always wanted to camp out at the bat exhibit at the zoo. One of the cool things is that here in Oregon are bats only eat insects and they eat a lot of them! Something like 1,000 an hour. They also are good at pollinating. There young are called pups which is also very sweet.

Although I love playing with new products I seem to need to remember to watch some videos first. I keep ruining things accidentally by not doing that. I didn’t know that the distress spray was supposed to be washed off the stencil right away, and not to spray it on my crafting matt. Oh well, live and learn, I need a new matt anyway since I used spray glue on it a while ago…

4th of July

4th of July

This is one of those holidays that always seems to surprise me that it comes sooner than I expect. I think part of the problem is that as a kid there seemed to be a long time between the last day of school and 4th of July, as an adult not so much. It is definitely an adult thing that time moves faster in a lot of ways. Being an adult sucks.

Let sleeping babies sleep. I am normally a nice person, just don’t wake the baby that I just got to sleep. I have a tendency to be a bit scary then, or so I have been told. They are awfully sweet when they are sleeping though.

Watching Youtube videos while making cards is not really the best plan, but the nephew gets me to do things that aren’t always the best plan. Mostly I was just having a hard time figuring out where each paper was supposed to go, and then focusing to layer them on the card correctly. Well, I like how the card turned out so it must not have been the worst idea.
