For some reason, I thought the flowers on this stamp were roses until I stamped it. I am not sure if it was a trick of my eyes or my mind or just a case of being a bit extra distracted right now. I like poppies a lot and was happy to realize that is what they were, it just took me a bit by surprise as I was coloring them in. In high school, I had a friend whose mom had a gorgeous garden of irises and poppies and let me take a bouquet home one day, I always think of her when I see poppies.
Letting the colors do what they want. It is fun to watch them do their thing. I think sometimes it can be hard to just let go and let whatever happens happen, but that is truly the beauty sometimes. I love this technique because it makes me remember to let go.
Can you find the butterfly? I was having fun channeling my inner hide and seek book authors making this card. I could have made it a lot more difficult, but I think that it is still fun that the butterfly isn’t completely obvious at first glance.
Loving having flower stamps to play with right now. I don’t know why I didn’t get more in the past. I think I just always have money at holiday time and so I focus on those stamps and this was the first time I was able to do this. It just reminds me to make sure to remember off times as well.
The blue glittery paper I used on this card came from a giveaway I won awhile back and I absolutely love it! I think it works really well on this card since it gives the feeling of storminess in the background. It does make me want to go to the coast awfully bad though!
