Ok, I know the title of this post might be a bit corny. I like corny. I just do. I also like the image on this card. I have been in love with it for quite a while and am excited to finally use it. I want her to come and bring me cake and presents for my birthday! Do you think she will still be around in January?
I have been making a lot of Halloween cards. If you couldn’t tell I really like Halloween. It is probably my favorite of all of the holidays. One of the big reasons is that it is fairly easy to have an amazing Halloween. The bar gets set really high for most of the other holidays, but for Halloween some candy and a bit of spookiness is all you really need. In fact what might destroy another holiday could potential make for the best Halloween ever. That and cobwebs just become decoration instead of signs I haven’t cleaned…
I love candy corn. It has been so long since I have gotten to enjoy candy corn that I actually messed up coloring it the first time I tried and I had to look up what the correct coloring is. I am on medication that makes sugar and anything sugar related taste really horrible, thus no candy corn. It’s funny how I would have never thought that I would have had to look up the colors though.
Isn’t she just the cutest little witch? I want her to come trick-er-treating at my house! I like thinking that the pumpkins can’t help but smiling because they see all of the kids in costume and it makes them happy. A truly Happy Halloween card!!
I had a cold this week and it messed things up royally. I finished this card about an hour and a half after the challenge that the sketch it is based on closed, and the glitter dots still needed 24 hours to dry. I have no idea what I was thinking on that. I was also making this for the music challenge, with the song “Deifying Gravity” firmly stuck in my head. So why didn’t I make the witch green? I am going to chalk that up to the amount of nose whipping I have had to do on mini humans and a desire to not see green if I didn’t have to. I am better (ok, at least not as bad) now and hopefully things are getting back to normal (or what passes for it).
